Aug. 31 - Membership Award Deadline 

- Visionary Award and traditional "Bling Pin" - Dues for 400 members to state office.

- Pacesetters Certificate - Dues for 300 members to state office.

SEPTEMBER

Sept. 4 - PTA Family Day with the Braves. Braves vs. Los Angeles Dodgers, Sunday at 1:30pm. See website for ticket order instructions and forms.  Seats are General Admission. - PTA Audit/Financial Review, page 1 and 2 due to state office  

- Committee Chairs due - Enter Online

- Early Bird Certificate - Dues for 200 members to state office

- Platinum Membership Award - Target membership dues to state office

OCTOBER  

Oct. 15 - If your PTA's fiscal year end was May 31, IRS Form 990 is due. Check your bylaws for fiscal year end date.

Oct. 24-31 - Red Ribbon Week

Oct. 31 - Membership Award Deadline

- Gold Membership Award - Target membership dues to state office  

- Community Partnership Award form and community partners list due to state office

- Oak Tree Award form and school staff list due to state office

Information You Need to Know

National PTA Dues Increase

Beginning September 1, 2011, all 2011-2012 State and National dues must be submitted on the 2011 form, including the $.50 NPTA dues increase to $2.25.  If the correct form and dues amount are incorrect, the president will receive a notification email and invoice for the outstanding dues amount. The outstanding invoice must be paid before members are entered for your PTA.  Click here for Dues Transmittal Form.

PTA Audit/Financial Review

Due September 30 - Newly Designed and Simplified Two Page Forms

An auditor or auditing committee of no fewer than three (3) members should be selected by the Board of Directors no later than two weeks prior to the end of the school year. Individuals who are selected to serve on the audit committee should have an accounting or financial background and an unbiased, independent perspective of the books. An auditor or auditing committee member shall not be related to any signee on the checking account by marriage or any other relationship. The PTA president, treasurer or any signee may not be a member of the audit committee.
