2011-2012 PTA Officers,
Your
duties as an incoming PTA officer are off to a busy
start. Monday, June 27, 2011, you
received our information about the National PTAs dues
increase effective July 1, 2011. We
hope you will take time to read why the dues increase is
needed now, Q & A, and the impact and value of
National PTA as found on pta.org/4459.htm.
The
Georgia PTA Board of Directors and staff are committed
to assist local units with the challenge of implementing
the dues increase. Please let us know
if you have any questions about the "how's and why's" of
the dues increase.
By June
30, be sure to send any dues your PTA has already
collected for 2011-2012 membership while you can still
submit the National dues portion of $1.75 per
member. Use the linked Dues Transmittal
Form and mail with check/money order or
cash to Georgia PTA, 114 Baker St.,
NE, Atlanta, GA 30308.
All
additional PTA memberships collected must be submitted
to the state office to include the $.50 National PTA
dues increase. Total dues per member
is $3.25, ($2.25 National PTA dues
plus $1.00 Georgia PTA dues).

National PTA Official Back to School Kit - Register
Today!
The National
PTA Official Back to School Kit contains the PTA
Quick-Reference Guides, membership posters, program
and advocacy resources-the tools your unit needs for a
successful PTA year. All
PTAs must register to receive their kit. The
incoming 2011-2012 PTA president or other authorized
leader will need to specify the unit's preferred
shipping address and date. Kits will ship weekly
starting July 1 through September 16, based on unit
