National
PTA has been working on many of the OMDR updates requested by users.
Below are items that are new to OMDR:
- Giving the user the ability to download the file upload errors
to an Excel file for easier sorting (State & Local Unit levels).
- Giving the user the ability to clear the log of all past error
history (State & Local Unit levels).
We are also excited to let you know that a new feature to designate
student members from adult members is currently being tested. Once
this feature is launched, local units can go into the system and
change their existing membership information to designate the student
members. Those members designated as students will not be solicited.
Once this feature is ready, we will let you know more about it!
The PTA privacy policy has also been updated. If you haven’t
reviewed it, you can find it at http://www.pta.org/privacy_policy.html.

What
is OMDR?
A great way to track your
membership is through National PTA's Online Membership Data Reporting
(OMDR) system. This technology is designed to help local PTAs be
more efficient and effective. OMDR provides ways to quickly and
cost-effectively collect dues, communicate with members, track demographics
and offer more member benefits.
Through OMDR you can print
your membership cards. You have two options to print membership
cards. You can print them with the PTA members' names or you can
print them with all of the Information EXCEPT the PTA members' names.
Why
Connect to PTA's Central Database?
Through a Web-based system, local unit leaders
will be able to generate mailing labels and send broadcast e-mails
to their members. This can help spread the word about school happenings,
volunteer opportunities and coming events quickly, easily, and at
no cost. All data for your local unit will be saved in a central
location, password protected, and available via the Internet from
your home, office, or school.
Among the many benefits
for your local PTA, the database:
- Makes it easier for your PTA to maintain records and communicate
with your members
- Saves you money - there's no need to buy your own database software
- Is offered free of charge
- Upgrades automatically, again no charge
- Prevents loss of information due to resignation, disaster, or
poor record keeping
- Is password protected, so your information is secure
- Is Web-accessible from anywhere, at any time
- Is easy to use - simply upload your membership file to the website
- Provides two-way communication with your membership
- Offers another way to relay your PTA's news to members
- Gives members the option to receive news from Georgia PTA and
National PTA
- Is serviced by National PTA customer service representatives,
who can answer your technology questions
