The Georgia PTA Nominating Committee was tasked with the responsibility of soliciting interest in executive positions for the upcoming 2021-2023 term. Those chosen to serve will become an integral part of the executive committee and will have accepted the responsibilities that come with leading our great organization.
This process involved selecting 7 members to the nominating committee from different districts ( 5 regular members and 2 alternates), who were tasked with reviewing resumes, interviewing the potential candidates, interviewing and validating their references, and then making the ultimate decision of who will be listed as the slate of officers. Those positions were: President-elect, First VP, Second VP, Treasurer, and Secretary.
The members of the nominating committee took this responsibility very seriously. I will say that it was one of the most challenging experiences I have been involved with and I appreciate all of my committee members’ diligence, attention to detail, input and joint cooperation in arriving at our slate of candidates.
