We realize this information has been available to you through the Georgia Department of Education website since beginning of November, but during a meeting of Steering Committee on Friday, November 19, it was brought to our attention that no submissions for these awards have been received by the DOE yet. We all know that the PTA has some of the most hard-working, parents that exemplify the true meaning of what strong parent leaders are all around. It is our strong hope that you will get these links for the award applications into the hands of leaders in your area right away.  The Georgia Department of Education has graciously extended submission deadline.  Applications must be postmarked by no later than Wednesday, December 4, 2013.  Please review instructions carefully before beginning application  process.  The winners of this prestigious award will be formally recognized during the January 9-11, 2014 Family Engagement Conference in Athens, Georgia!
