Dear Georgia PTA Members and Leaders,
We hope this school year brings an exciting beginning. Allow me to begin by thanking you for your commitment to your children, your local PTA/PTSA, your families, and your school community. You have committed to continue along a journey that allows you to use your time and talents in many ways!
Your PTA/PTSA is not only part of your local, council or district, but also the Georgia and National PTA associations, and we are all here to support you. Each level of PTA/PTSA offers specific resources and programming to assist you in serving, leading, engaging and collaborating with your stakeholders.
The education landscape changes daily, and if you blink you will miss a new policy or law that can drastically affect the future of public education and your students. This is one of the primary reasons that we exist. We are here to support the local units. YOU are the true heart and soul of PTA. We were founded to help families stay engaged and ensure every child’s potential becomes a reality, and that is just as important today, if not more so, than the day we were created.
We do not function without members. Members are the front line of our association. Every minute you can volunteer to help in a school or classroom is so valuable to the children. We want to be sure our parents are equipped with the training and tools necessary to compliment the work of the educators and school districts. We look forward to collaborating with everyone throughout the year to share best practices, resources and ideas in support of our association’s mission. Let us know how we can best support you in your endeavors so that every child succeeds.
