Today’s Georgia PTA Takes Action!

“Hop on Board the Advocacy Express Bus” by registering for the October 1, 2013 Advocacy Conference being held in the Georgia State Capitol at 206  Washington Street, Atlanta, GA 30334. Registration begins at 8:30 a.m., and the program begins at 9:30 a.m.

Mark your calendar, and plan to spend a day becoming knowledgeable advocates.  This will be an informative and timely discussion of the most challenging education issues confronting the state of Georgia.  Learn about Common Core and what it means to public education in Georgia.  Get a preview of upcoming hot issues and advocacy strategies.  Register online TODAY until September 26, 2013 at https://gaptatakesaction.eventbrite.com  or you can print off a registration form here, and mail it by September 22, 2013 to:

Attendees can also register on-site at the Georgia State Capitol. On-site, in line registration opens October 1 at 8:00 a.m. EST. If you prefer to register at an on-site counter, $30.00 registration rates apply for members, $35.00 for non-members.  On site registration can not guarantee availability of lunch selections.  On-site registration will be available for the duration of the meeting.

Who should attend?  Everyone!  PTA local unit, council and district leaders, legislation chairs, and members with an interest in education and laws affecting children.
