CALLING ALL PTA LEADERS, ADVOCATES, AND SUPPORTERS

The 106th Georgia PTA Virtual Annual Convention will be held on November 14, 2020. This convention will allow delegates to convene and conduct official business such as consideration of amendments to Bylaws, celebrate your hard work with award announcements and other business that may properly come before the virtual assembly. 

Dear PTA Leaders,

On behalf of the 2019-2021 Georgia PTA Board of Directors, I would like to personally invite you to attend our 106th Virtual Annual Convention. Business will be conducted from our homes to yours. As the country continues to confront COVID-19 with so many factors related to the pandemic still unknown, our utmost priority is to help keep our members safe and healthy.

That is why we are pleased to announce that we have decided to convert our in-person 2020 Georgia PTA Convention Meeting to a virtual setting-November 14, 2020. Bring your entire PTA leadership team, supporters, teachers, and school administrators to join me at Convention 2020.  

Who Should Attend Convention 2020?​

Convention is an investment in the future leadership and success of your PTA. We recognize that time and money are scarce, but we must invest in ourselves to develop our potential in order for PTA to ensure a better future for all children.

  1. Your 2019-20 board members.
  2. Your incoming 2020-2021 board members.
  3. Principals, Teachers and School Board members.
  4. Any members who have demonstrated that spark of leadership potential!

Each local unit in good standing is entitled to be represented at Convention of the Georgia PTA by its president and (1) one other officer, or their alternates, and (1) one delegate for every (50) fifty paid members recorded in the state database March 10th of each year. Current membership will be confirmed.

This statement serves as the formal Call to the Virtual Annual Business Meeting as required by the Georgia PTA bylaws. Further details about Georgia PTA’s 2020 Virtual Convention will be shared as soon as they are finalized.
