· Improving access to education for minority children
· Building better water and bathroom facilities in schools
About the IKEA Foundation
The Soft Toys For Education Campaign falls under the umbrella of the IKEA Foundation (formally IKEA Social Initiative). It was formed in 2005 to manage the company’s commitment to social involvements on a global level. The mission of the IKEA Foundation is to improve the rights and life opportunities of many children – fighting for children’s right to a healthy and secure childhood with access to quality education. To support this mission, The IKEA Foundation will donate €1 (as of September 25, 2013, €1 is equal to $1.35 in the US) for every soft toy and children’s book bought between November 10, 2013 and January 4, 2014.
