The Georgia PTA Board of Directors proudly announced a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc – State of Georgia Organization as a strategic partner implementing mutually agreed upon initiatives and programming and building the capacity and infrastructure of both organizations for sustainable impact in our communities, society and children of Georgia.

About Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc State of Georgia Organization

The Georgia State Organization is an entity that recognizes the positive achievements of others, is involved in the community through blood, food and clothing drives, environmental and community clean-up activities, and tutorial programs. We mentor disadvantaged young males, we care for the elderly, we assist in providing housing for disadvantaged persons, and we provide scholarships to young people in need. The State Organization is comprised of dedicated men committed to helping the disenfranchised improve their quality of life by lifting the less fortunate and providing hope wherever and whenever we can. In Omega “We Continue to Lift as We Climb.”

Take your advocacy one step further. As a member of the Georgia PTA, you’re making it your personal goal to ensure that our community thrives in every aspect including education, economics, health and wellbeing, and diversity. Reset and thriving in the Georgia PTA looks like:

  • Providing scholarships for students, grants for Black entrepreneurs, and much-needed resources when disaster hits
  • Fueling local volunteers who drive culture and change in communities across the state
  • Amplifying the voice of every child to make sure solutions to our most pressing issues are equitable
  • Working with activists and organizers in local child advocacy communities
  • Organizing direct action campaigns to bring attention to local issues
  • Supporting access to quality education, healthcare, economic opportunities
  • Participating in voter registration and get-out-the-vote campaigns
  • Attending national events, state conferences, and trainings to sharpen your advocacy and leadership
